"The Destroyer" Dick Beyer (1930-2019) was one of the greatest masked wrestlers of all time. Known as "Doctor X" and the "Intelligent Sensational Destroyer," Beyer achieved mega-star status in Japan as a widely recognized pop culture icon. He received one of that nation's highest honors, the Order of the Rising Sun, in 2017.
