The International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame is saddened to learn that Rocky “Soulman” Johnson has passed away at the age of 75. Johnson served on the board of directors at the IPWHF and was an early supporter of its mission.
"This loss hurts on a personal level," wrote IPWHF President Seth Turner, who began a friendship with Rocky Johnson through their connection with the Hall of Fame and collaboration on a number of projects. "I wish and pray for Rocky’s family to have the strength they need at this time."
Rocky Johnson embodied the core values of the International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, and he was a source of insight and inspiration during the formative period of this organization. We join the entire professional wrestling community in mourning the loss of this profoundly influential performer and we extend our deepest condolences to Johnson's family at this time.
